Welcome to Meadow View
Meadow View Farm School caters for up to 35 boys and girls aged between
5 and 11 years of age who have a statement for special educational needs.
The focus of the school is on children with social and emotional difficulties and mental health needs, including those on the Autistic spectrum.
The school is set in a rural location within 6 acres of Leicestershire countryside.
The aim of the school is to work with the children to enable them, if appropriate, to return to a mainstream or area special school setting.
The school’s ethos is of nurture and challenge.
Given the small size of the school and the levels and experience of staff, it is expected that the children will make excellent academic progress alongside strong improvements in their social and emotional needs.
The farm setting provides a unique opportunity for the children to learn about the need to take responsibility for others as well as themselves.
There is an emphasis on both indoor and outdoor learning, and on relating the two to each other.
We encourage strong links with parents and carers.
